Friendly Computers Franchise #108 Kennewick, WA I realized that my lack of business and sales experience would be a stumbling block to starting a new business on my own. With a working model in place, I don’t have the trial and error scenario during startup to find out what works best. Friendly Computers goes way beyond the name. It's a culture that everyone in the home office lives by. My questions get fast, accurate responses, usually within minutes. Steve Ward has saved me both time and money negotiating with landlords and advertisers. I can say I am extremely impressed by the business knowledge and helpfulness of everyone at Friendly Computers corporate. The training is well organized and thorough. Opening a Friendly Computers franchise has been enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding. Reggie Turner
Friendly Computers Franchise #111 Northwest Phoenix I would say that going with a franchise is definitely worth it. You have a lot of resources at your disposal. I had started another business before, and the experience was not that great. I didn’t want to have to go through that again. There are a lot of little things you learn from the training—even simple things, like how to handle your incoming phone calls while you’re on a job, or making sure invoices are signed before you do any work on a computer.
You also get a complete package. I don’t have to design my own logo, or build a new professionally-designed brand. All of that is already in place. It helps me keep things simple and sweet. I like having my own business. I can set my own hours. I now have people working for me. And there’s no one to answer to but myself. The reason I chose Friendly Computers? The people were more interested in me and my success, versus just trying to sell a franchise. Bill Arnold
Friendly Computers Franchise #128 East Long Island, NY The statistics don’t lie. More often than not, a new, independent business will fail within the first three years. With franchises, the opposite is true. When I first started this venture, I placed my ad, created by corporate, in the main yellow pages in my area. On July 1, when the book was released, I got a call. When I arrived on site I asked the customer if I could see his book since I had not received mine yet. He showed me the book, and there was my ad—certainly not the largest, but “the most attractive one,” according to the customer. To me, that was proof positive that they guys at corporate know what they are doing. Since I joined Friendly Computers all my questions have been answered, and I am very satisfied with the support I have received. Any business takes hard work and dedication to get off the ground. What helps is having a road map to follow.
