Through our ongoing training programs, Furniture Medic consistently embraces the corporate objective, "To help people develop." Throughout our history, education and training at every level have been Furniture Medic hallmarks. Startup Prior to arrival at the Training Academy, each franchisee completes a "21-Day home study" course designed to bring the class in at the same level - without regard to previous woodworking skills. Once at the Academy, new owners undergo an intensive, two-week, hands-on curriculum that develops target skill sets and integrates them into the services you will provide. Attention is also focused on actual business startup, marketing, customer acquisition and retention. Ongoing After graduation from the Training Academy, franchisees may want to participate in a Mentoring Program that pairs experienced franchisees with new owners in the same general service area. The purpose is to press new skill sets into use while developing finesse in customer acquisition. Additionally, there are opportunities to enhance skills through Regional Meetings as well as our Annual Convention. Here, new products and processes are showcased and exhibited. Two full-time marketing managers assist owners in developing growth-building marketing strategies complemented by an array of effective sales materials.
In order to promote the services of our franchisees to major customer groups, we exhibit at various conventions and trade shows during the year. Our franchisees benefit from business generated by these activities.
