W. G. Grinders success is on the foundation of the deli-styled concept. Customers choose from hot baked sandwiches, with a wide variety of tastes, made with Grinders exclusive recipes.

When Grinders began..

In 1989. Mike Bellisari, founder and president of the concept first discovered the "grinder" while vacationing in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. "In Columbus no one had ever heard of the term "grinders", and no one was really producing a grinder here at that time." He opened a "Grinders" restaurant on The Ohio State University campus in October, 1989. The concept grew with both company-owned and franchised stores, and continues to serve the World's Greatest Grinder.

If you like sandwiches, you'll love W.G. Grinders restaurants! Hearty, fresh baked baguette-style rolls in three varieties are prepared with succulent honey glazed ham, sliced sirloin steak, marinated boneless chicken breasts, tuna, tender turkey breasts or an assortment of other popular ingredients, baked until they are just right. Together with a generous layer of cheese, juicy tomatoes and other fresh sandwich fixings, the meats and vegetables are baked in the roll, soaking it with their juices.

Boxed lunches provide means of expanding the W. G. Grinders business outside the four walls of the restaurant. The combination of a Grinder, deli salad, dessert and a beverage in an attractive, custom made carrying box offers a perfect vehicle for hosting an informal office meeting, or a sales representative's presentation and convenient lunch.

Catering special events and parties offers yet another way to spread the word about the World's Greatest Grinder. Our Deli Trays, complete with meat, cheese and vegetable variations, together with our Platters consisting of our oven baked sandwiches in their traditional sizes, or our Synergy Sandwich Platter offering 3-foot, 6-foot and 9-foot Grinders provide a unique vehicle for generating greater customer awareness of W. G. Grinders.

Delivery service is a natural extension and a growing service of the W. G. Grinders boxed lunches and catering aspects of our business.
