Daredevil Mr Electric Franchise Gets Ready to mark a Leap of faith at Man Utd Abseil

Mr. Electric franchise owner Steve Price and his electrician brother Philip are preparing to take a leap of faith on Sunday 28th March when they take part in an abseil from the North Stand at Old Trafford to raise vital funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the UK’s most common, life-threatening inherited diseases and claims three lives a week in the UK.

The free-air abseil will give 150 daredevil fundraisers the opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of the pitch as they free-air abseil 140 feet into the Theatre of Dreams.

The brothers are taking the plunge because Philip’s son Owen Walker-Price was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when he was only 4 weeks old.

Steve said: “Owen is doing fine at the moment, but he has to be isolated from other sufferers of CF for the first 2 years. His parents have to be careful with him due to his immune system.”

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the UK’s most common, life-threatening, inherited diseases and affects approximately 8,500 people. Money raised from the abseil will help fund treatment for young people with CF. This will include testing new and potentially life saving treatments.

No experience is necessary and you only need to be of average fitness to take part after a few minutes training.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is one of two national charities to benefit from a three year charity partnership with Manchester United. The partnerships between Manchester United and its preferred charity partners are managed by Manchester United Foundation. The Foundation was set up in 2006 to celebrate 50 years of the Club playing in Europe. The Foundation uses the passion for Manchester United to benefit communities and inspire young people.
