"Britain’s fastest growing property letting specialist, Belvoir, has notched up another milestone in its continuing success."

The company, which was set up 10 years ago and now has a presence in over 90 UK towns and cities including (Insert regional office name here), has scooped bronze in the 2006 Franchisee of the year Awards.

Husband and wife team Peter and Abigail Atkinson, who took over a Belvoir Franchise in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, two years ago clinched the award and a cheque for £2000 at a glittering gala dinner organised by The British Franchise Association and HSBC Bank.

This latest accolade is proof of the couple’s determination to build a successful business of their own, backed by the strength and expertise of the national Belvoir network.

Before entering the field of property letting and management Peter, 38, had a background in financial services and middle management in the motor industry. After 10 years of working 60 hour weeks he felt there should be more to life and left his job with Mercedes Benz to take up the challenge of running his own business.

The couple re-mortgaged their house, underwent extensive training with Belvoir and immediately applied what they had learnt to their business. They got off to a flying start, quickly attracting both landlord and tenant clients through a well planned local marketing campaign. Within their first year they had been named Belvoir ‘New Franchisee of the year’.

“Peter and Abigail are a shining example of how one can make a career change and go on to build independence and success by following a well tried and tested business formula,”

Not content with their impressive record of growth to date, the ambitious couple now have their sights set on having 185 properties on their books by the end of this year, increasing to 257 in 2007 and 350 by the end of 2008.
