Tatty Bumpkin franchisee Marie Naud tells her story |
My name is Marie and I am mother of three wonderful girls. I have been a Tatty Bumpkin franchisee for almost 4 years now and it has proven to give me the work/life balance I wanted. I am able to work hours around my girl’s need and still earn a decent wage. In addition I know that when the girls are all at school I will be able to increase my hours and my earnings as there is still a lot of potential for my franchise to grow.
Of course it is challenging at times. Because of the nature of the work you feel like you could always do more (even at 11 o'clock at night!). But the staff at head office always is very supportive and helps us achieve our goals. To be honest I also quite like a challenge and would not have found a repetitive occupation very motivating! The core of the business is providing lovely yoga inspired classes to babies and children and it is extremely rewarding on a daily basis. The programme is excellent and it is easy for other early years professionals to see how truly unique and relevant it is. Running the franchise involves developing relationships with others in the sector (nursery managers, schools, parents), doing some administration work and of course teaching. Although my background is in science I found that adapting to this new work come naturally if you love children, support healthy life-style and have a sense of fun. As a Tatty Bumpkin franchisee you can run your own business and let your inner child run wild at the same time!
