HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

In total a fully-fitted, fully stocked store will cost in the region of £50,000 inclusive of VAT, depending on size of store & location. Cyclelife does not charge a license fee so in essence you are investing that money in yourself and your business.

Cyclelife is not like any other franchisor. Our income comes from the franchisee retailing our product. We don’t ask for a management or royalty fee. Cyclelife only charges 3% on every order to a marketing levy. Cyclelife will contribute 50% towards your store re-fit and signage. We will also contribute to your marketing launch.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?

In 2006 the average Cyclelife store turnover for an established franchisee was between £150,000 and £200,000. The financial models developed for prospective franchisees show that this level of sales can produce a net trading profit of around £25,000 (before tax & personal drawings).

WILL IT SUIT?

We are looking for franchise partners that are able to give a full-time commitment to the business and with a hands on work approach.

You don't have to be young or a bike enthusiast but it helps to have an interest in bikes and the outdoors market.

You must be prepared to follow our tried-and-tested business format - but we are always looking for improvement and new ideas. You need to have a positive attitude and be enthusiastic about running your own business. As a retailer you must have good interpersonal skills, be prepared to work hard and have lots of commonsense. You need to be able to raise the necessary working capital and you must have some cash of your own to put into the business.
