About Us
Great Clips is an executive's business decision. The majority of Great Clips franchisees own multiple franchise locations, all manager-run and benefit from the local support, area training center and resources. New franchisees have the opportunity to keep their corporate position while starting their franchise salon business.
Great Clips has created and implemented one of the top franchise business opportunities in Canada and the United States. Great Clips was ranked the 20th fastest-growing franchise by Entrepreneur magazine in 2006 and has been ranked as one of the top franchise opportunities the last five years. In 2005 alone, Great Clips opened 214 new salons and 85 franchisees joined the Great Clips franchise system.
Why should I choose Great Clips?
Q What qualifications are necessary to own a Great Clips franchise? A Strong people skills. The required amount of capital. Financial stability. Business/management background. A desire to succeed. Previous franchise ownership is a plus. No haircare experience is necessary.
Q What systems and procedures does Great Clips have in place? A Our proprietary computer software, Styleware Touch, gives you the edge on cash and inventory management, employee productivity and performance, customer service measurements, scheduling, payroll, and database management. Comprehensive, ongoing training for franchisees, managers and stylists keeps quality high. Meetings, research, training, newsletters, and location visits by trained staff creates a network of support.
Q Should I be involved in day-to-day operations of my salon? A No, in fact, most successful owners work on the business not in the business. A certified manager, under your supervision, handles the day-to-day operations of your salon.
Q What training does Great Clips provide? A Quality training programs set us apart from other franchisors. New franchisee orientation and training takes place in Minneapolis. Ongoing market training, professional stylist and employee training take place in your area training center.
Q Is training mandatory? What does it cost? A Training is mandatory. You, your manager and staff must complete Great Clips training programs at our area training center. Start-up training costs are included in your initial franchise fee.
Q How does Great Clips assist in site selection? A We have ongoing relationships with real estate developers and brokers who assist with location identification. We provide tools for reviewing sites formulated with experience-based criteria. We provide consultation regarding location, visibility, salon size and demographics. Finances
